Can I Be A Model?
Written on Mar 11

Whenever I hear the line, "I want to be a model", I feel like puking up my own stomach. Quite a few girls that I've encountered in my past have dished out this line, and each and every time I read it or hear it, I get aggravated.

It's simple; if they could be a model, they would be one. But alas, they weren't model material and now they mope around with their lame photo portfolios trying to find employment on merely their looks. Good luck, dumbass.

Why is it that most of the girls that are trying to be models are the ones that have no business trying to model? My ex (keyword) girlfriend wanted to be a model. She was a cute girl. Like girl-next-door type of cute, not run-way or magazine model type of cute. That girl spent so much time trying to be pretty, that she became less and less attractive. Her insecurities started to shine over her personality and I quickly lost interest to say the least.

It all boils down to one word: confidence. It was obvious that she lacked self-confidence about her looks. She felt that if she became a model, people would compliment and recognize her looks, which in turn would build her self-confidence. What a fucking stupid bitch. If she only knew that confidence started from the inside not the outside, she'd be well and happy. BUT NO, SHE SMOKED POT ALL THE TIME, DIDN'T FINISH HIGH SCHOOL, AND EXPECTED TO BE A FUCKING MODEL BECAUSE SHE WAS LAZY AND HAD ABSOLUTELY ZERO CONFIDENCE. I bet the stupid bitch is -still- trying to latch onto semi-successful guys in hopes of hearing the phrase, "You're beautiful. You should be a model..."

So whenever someone utters the phrase, "I want to be a model", I can't help but think what a fucking waste of oxygen that person is. That screams "issues" and "insecurities" to me, and why would a guy want to deal with that? I understand that people like to be complimented, especially about their appearance, but does it really mean that much? Who's really responsible for how you look? It's all God-given. I'd rather be complimented for my writing or my work ethic because those are things that I built from the ground up. Compliments like that mean so much more to me than a simple "yer hot".

However, I do give body builders and weight-lifters credit for altering their appearance. That shit is hard work and takes alot of dedication. I'm more or less referring to the MTV-generation of girls (and guys) that are all trying to be famous super-models. Especially the ones that think they "deserve it". Fuck 'em all!
