Taking A Stab At Politics (with a rusty knife)
Written on October 12, 2004.
If you happen to be voting for George W. Bush this election, than you're an idiot.
If you happen to be voting for John Kerry than atleast you're less of an idiot
than those of you voting for George W. Bush.
If you happen to be voting for anyone else on the ticket, then I applaud you
for giving the independent/green parties a chance. Too bad none of them will
win or even come close to winning this election. Good luck anyways!
WELCOME TO AMERICA!
Voting is a necessary evil in our lives. No matter who
we vote for or why we vote for them, our voice cannot be heard. This country
no longer represents the voice of the people, it represents the voice of
the powerful.
Usually I could careless about voting and the people who "run this country",
but after watching George W. Bush run this country into the ground for the last four years
I've felt compelled to get my voter registration card and vote.
For those who care,
I'm voting for John Kerry.
Already I can imagine how many people read that last sentence and wanted
to smack me and label me as a "flip-flopping Democratic supporter". That's not
the case and I'm definitely not a democrat. So if you assumed that about
me, then go fuck yourself.
Like I mentioned in context before, I'm choosing the lesser of two evils.
I stand behind my convictions 100% that President George W. Bush is an
embarrassment to our country and will ultimately be labeled as one of the
worse presidents of our time. If you don't believe I have a valid point, then go ahead and watch
the presidential debates. GWB (as I'll refer to him from now on) is about
as eloquent as Rick James on a cocaine binge. He often appears confused,
references the same subjects (terrorists, WMD, God) to justify his decisions,
and makes faces that resemble a baffled caged primate. And this is the leader
of the world's foremost superpower? Give me a fucking break. I could lead
the country better than him.
The United States of America has lost nearly 1,000 military personnel on
the assault against "terrorism" in Iraq. Even before this so called war
began I was writing shit about how much Bush was/is a fuck up. Check out
"Political Bullshit".
I wrote that article on March 20th, 2003 and haven't modified it since. Even a year and
a half ago I realized how much this war was bullshit. A year and a half later
I feel the same way but only stronger.
IRAQ & THE INFAMOUS 'WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION'.
GWB supports our aggression towards Iraq and will continue to battle
"terrorism" in Iraq while constantly risking the lives of thousands of
U.S. military personnel on a daily basis. For what?
I won't argue that Iraq probably harbored *real* terrorists or that they
were enemies of America. They hate us and we really can't blame them for that.
But were they really ever a threat to our country? A year and a half
after our invasion of Iraq and we can't find one "weapon of mass
destruction" anywhere in Iraq? Yet, the Bush administration used the entire 'WMD' cliché
as an excuse to invade Iraq. Either GWB's intelligence was completely
fucked or HE DECEIVED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND IT'S ALLIES about his
real intentions. Some people wondered why France, Germany, and Russia wouldn't
support this 'war on terror'. It's probably because they saw through
America's bullshit and didn't believe GWB's hype.
The real terrorists are Osama Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda organization.
They are -real- terrorists because THEY FUCKING ATTACKED
US on our own soil! Iraq DID NOT ATTACK US. Hell, Iraq didn't even
threaten to attack us! None of the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq.
15 of them were Saudis, one was Egyptian, one was Lebanese, and two
were from the United Arab Emirates.
(Info: Yahoo internet search for
"nationalities of 9/11 hijackers").
In my honest opinion, I believe
China, North Korea, and India are more of a threat to America(ns) than
Iraq. Atleast all those countries have nuclear weapons or the capability
to attain weapons of mass destruction and/or use them to do harm to the U.S.
OMG! TERRORISTS EVERYWHERE!
The war on terrorism cannot be fought aggressively towards any country
in the world. Terrorists do not hide in one specific country. Terrorists
are not of one specific nationality that we can target. Terrorists consist of people
of all races, backgrounds, and heritage regardless of religion and location.
When will GWB realize that he isn't fighting terrorism in Iraq? He's only
flexing his country's superpower muscle for his own benefit. In return,
he's cost this country nearly 1,000 soldiers that COULD have been used to protect
this country from an actual terroristic threat.
Some people will argue, "well, if there are no terrorists in Iraq, then why
do our soldiers keep getting attacked and killed?". The answer is simple and
has nothing to do with terrorism: We invaded their fucking country. We killed
their megalomaniacal leader and left them with no leadership. Like I mentioned
before, these people already didn't like us. So the fact that we invaded their
country, told them what to do and when to do it, and attempted to establish
*our* form of government on THEIR land is only going to anger them further.
These men are going to die to protect their self-appointed rights and beliefs
whether we agree with them or not. GWB calls them terrorists. Yet, WE are the ones
who invaded their country and took nearly 16,000 Iraqi lives since this war started
in 2003.
(Info: October 2004, Vibe magazine).
In terms of money I don't know how much GWB has spent on this war so far, but I can
bet my life it's something in the near billions. This is money that was
funded by our government to destroy another country. We should have used that
money on OUR own country for OUR own people -- not anywhere else.
Especially not to bomb a bunch of foreign brown people.
Does anyone honestly believe that we're stopping terrorism or atleast
dealing it a substantial blow by bombing the fuck out of Iraq? If you do,
you're obviously uneducated or the product of a failed abortion because
the facts speak for themselves. We've wasted nearly 1,000 American lives,
millions (if not billions) of tax dollars on destroying Iraq, and we've
completely soured the American image in every Middle Eastern country by
pushing GWB's war on terror.
Look at things now. Are we really a safer country now that we spent those
lives, that money, and all that time beating the shit out of Iraq? Probably
not. All we really did was cost ourselves time and money and once again
hindered America vulnerable to real terrorism. Way to go, GWB.
Funny thing is, we were the terrorists long before 9/11 and Iraq. If anybody
is old enough to remember the Iran-Iraq Contra scandal that plagued the Reagan
administration in the 80's, then they'll know what I mean. Saddam was our friend
then. Funny how things change.
WE NEED A CHANGING OF THE GUARD.
What we need to do is elect a president that doesn't make decisions based
on his own opinions and moral beliefs and then attempt to impose his will
on not only the American people, but the world. This is what our current
president does and it's cost our country greatly.
We need to elect a president intelligent enough to make decisions on behalf
of the people, our allies, and the entire world. John Kerry might not be
the right man for the job, but atleast he's better than Bush. Also, I realize
that John Kerry has flip-flopped on his decisions and contradicted himself
many times. To me, that only shows that he realized his mistakes and changed
his opinions based on experience.
For example, Kerry voted FOR the Patriot Act. Now he votes against it.
That isn't "flip-flopping", "confusion", or "indecisiveness". That's COMMON SENSE. John Kerry realized
the mistakes of passing and supporting this bill. The Patriot
Act looked good on paper
(http://www.epic.org/privacy/terrorism/hr3162.html),
but has been a total crock of shit since it's been implemented. Kerry realizes the
flaws in this bill and wants to change it. What's wrong with that? Atleast his
votes and decisions haven't directly cost any American lives. GWB can't say
the same.
Kerry was also a Naval fighter in Vietnam that won three purple hearts. He
actually fought in a war unlike GWB. Kerry, for whatever personal reasons
felt the war in Vietnam was pointless. Having experienced the
trauma of war first hand, he become an ardent critic against it. He stood
up for what he believed in because he experienced it. What has GWB experienced
first hand?
Finally, according to GWB, Kerry voted to go to war with Iraq. Currently,
Kerry detests the war in Iraq and supports a withdrawal of our troops
as soon as humanly possible. This is another issue where Kerry has been
criticised and pandered by Bush and the Republican party. How hard is it
for people to see that the Bush administration clearly lied to Congress,
the Senate, and the American public about the severity of the situation
in Iraq? The Bush administration made it out to believe that Iraq had
WMD, had intent to use said weapons against us, and that Saddam Hussein
was nothing short of the devil. GWB, Donald Rumsfeld, and Colin Powell
were all very adamant about Iraq being a threat to the United States.
Using the media, they claimed to have proof that justified the invasion of Iraq
by using terrorism as a form of propaganda.
THE IRAQI WAR BECAUSE OF 'WMD'. WHERE'S THE PROOF?
THERE IS NO FUCKING PROOF. THERE NEVER WAS ANY PROOF. THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION
USED PROPAGANDA TO DECEIVE THE PUBLIC AND MOST MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNMENT. Even
the U.N. weapons inspectors said Iraq didn't even have the capability to
develop WMD, let alone own them.
(Info: http://kutv.com/topstories/local_story_280210652.html).
John Kerry fell for the propaganda proposed by GWB claiming
Iraq was an evil terrorist nation hellbent on the destruction of America. Shit,
I'll be the first to admit, I fell for it too. How could I doubt the
commander and chief of the United States? He said he had proof and
evidence that Iraq was a terrorist nation - how could I doubt him? I believed him
because as an American I should entrust my president to make honest decisions on
behalf of all the inhabitants of this beautiful country. He fucking lied
to me, so how could I elect him for a second term? He's either a dumbass or
a liar.
Do you think John Kerry believes the current administration regarding their
claims about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction?
HELL FUCKING NO. That's why Kerry is opposed to keeping our troops in harms
way in Iraq. Kerry, through experience, has realized the ineffectualness of
the war on Iraq and wants to ensure that we don't lose anymore American
lives unless it's absolutely necessary.
And what's wrong with that? GWB is fighting a war that he can't win and he's
letting his personal agenda negatively affect the American public. Atleast
"flip-flopping" John Kerry never made a decision on behalf of the American public
that cost American lives and jeopardized the entire country.
George W. Bush has. Vote Kerry.
Or atleast do the world a favor and vote for anybody but GWB.
